Chippewa County is accepting applications for an Operator IV Paver. The job duties of Operator IV
include but are not limited to the ability to use a variety of heavy equipment for the construction
and maintenance of roads and bridges. Winter maintenance activities will be required for this
position.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Class A CDL without
restrictions E and L required. Minimum of three (3) years experience in heavy equipment operation
on a routine basis with paver operator experience preferred. Must be able to operate a variety of
equipment relating to construction and maintenance of roads and bridges. Certifications are
determined by the County based on the position. Road maintenance experience preferred. N
Tanker Endorsement required within six (6) months from date of hire. MSHA Certification for work
in mines preferred. Employer-provided certification to be obtained within twelve (12) months of
hire. Certifications and training for construction asphaltic surfaces to be provided by employer. A

Starting Wage: $26.31 - $28.60 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe
benefit package. Maximum Wage: $34.32 per hour.
