Full Time Mechanic

The Forest County Highway Department is accepting applications for a full-time position. This is a mechanic position. A minimum of one (1) year experience as a diesel mechanic with experience in electrical, computer, fabrication, welding and gas engines is preferred.  

Applicants must have a valid driver license, a clean driving record, with a CDL endorsement preferred, but not needed, and be able to pass a physical, audiogram, and D.O.T. drug screen. Starting wage is $23.92 to $25.41 per hour upon hire, 40 hours of vacation after 3 months, 80 hours of vacation after 12 months of employment. Tool and Boot allowance. Wages and vacation increase with longevity.
