2025 Seasonal Highway Traffic Control Technician

Chippewa County is currently accepting applications for 2025 Seasonal Traffic Control
Technician positions within the Highway Department. The job duties include but are not limited
to: provide traffic control of highway/bridge maintenance & construction projects and provide
responsive, courteous and efficient services to County residents and the general public. A
Traffic Control Technician may be assigned, initially, to only one area, however, as length of
service increases, a Traffic Control Technician will be expected to perform work in other areas
as needed.

2025 Season begins: April 28th 2025 until late October 2025.

Seasonal employment that averages 40 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Must be 18 years
old. Minimum of one (1) year of part of full-time work experience required. Experience in
highway construction trades is preferred. Wisconsin Flagging Certification training is required
and will be provided upon hire. Valid driver’s license required. A cell phone is required. Visit
